Reliance Power Ltd, a company owned by Anil Ambani, has announced the appointment of Neeraj Parakh as its new Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The company’s Board of Directors has approved his appointment for a three-year term.
With 29 years of professional experience, including over 20 years at Reliance, Neeraj has played a pivotal role in executing key projects such as Yamuna Nagar, Hisar, Rosa, Sasan, Butibori, and Damodar Valley Corporation. He has also led several renewable energy initiatives, including Solar PV and Solar CSP projects.
Neeraj joined the Reliance Group in June 2004 as an Additional Manager in the Central Technical Services team at Reliance Infrastructure (Reliance Infra). Over his 21-year tenure, he has progressively taken on more significant roles, expanding his expertise across various domains.
His early work focused on planning, project monitoring, technical services, and project execution. Later, he assumed responsibilities in operations and maintenance at both Reliance Power and Reliance Infra. Neeraj further honed his skills through roles in the Central Procurement Group and Indirect Taxation, gaining experience in technology, commercial operations, and taxation.
With his extensive experience and leadership, Neeraj is expected to drive Reliance Power’s growth and lead its strategic initiatives within the energy sector.
